Synter never modifies your Attio data. We only read contacts, companies, and lists to build ad audiences on your connected platforms. Your CRM data stays exactly as-is.

## Setup

### Sign in to Synter

Go to [syntermedia.ai](https://syntermedia.ai) and sign in or create an account.

### Connect Attio

Navigate to **Settings → Credentials** and click **Connect** on the Attio card. You'll be redirected to Attio to authorize read-only access.

### Select your workspace

Choose the Attio workspace containing the contacts and companies you want to use for ad targeting.

### Build audiences via Campaign IDE

Open the Campaign IDE and ask Synter to create audiences from your Attio data. For example: _"Create a Google Customer Match audience from my 'Enterprise Leads' list in Attio."_

-   • Workspace admin permissions in Attio to authorize OAuth

## Privacy & Security

Your data is protected

-   **Read-only access** — Synter never creates, updates, or deletes records in Attio
-   **SHA-256 hashed PII** — Email addresses are hashed before uploading to ad platforms
-   **Encrypted OAuth tokens** — Stored securely via Nango; we never see your Attio password
-   **Disconnect anytime** — Revoke access from Settings → Credentials and Synter loses all CRM access instantly

## Frequently Asked Questions

Can I choose which contacts sync?

Yes. Use Attio lists to segment your contacts, then tell Synter which list to use when building an audience. Only the contacts in that list are synced—never your entire CRM.

How often does data sync?

Syncing is on-demand. When you create or refresh an audience in the Campaign IDE, Synter pulls the latest data from Attio at that moment. There is no background polling.

Does Synter write back to Attio?

No. The integration is strictly read-only. Synter will never create, update, or delete any records in your Attio workspace.

What happens if I disconnect Attio?

Existing audiences that were already uploaded to ad platforms (Google, Meta, etc.) remain active on those platforms. Synter simply loses the ability to pull new data from Attio. You can reconnect at any time.
